Teen Life Intro

Hey, my name is Nicolas C., or more preferably, my nick name…Nick. Well what else can I say? I’m thirteen, I have big bushy hair and I love reading and writing. They are my passion, and while my writing may not be the best in the world, I still do a lot of it. I just love reading as well, so much, in fact, that I can spend hours in front of a book and take no notice of time and the outside world at all. It just it takes me to a place far away from this one, a place that seems a lot nicer than the planet Earth, and there are always happy endings (well most of the time).

I’m probably not the best person to tell you what life in an international community is, as I’ve lived here my entire life and I don’t know what life is outside these borders, but I suppose I’ll give it a shot anyway. Lets see, first off, you get to meet way more people from different countries and cultures. If you ever thought someone from a different country was violent or weird, you can prove that that is completely false when you live in an international like mine. Not only that, but you actually get to learn something from a different culture, and it could give you a lot of insight on how you view your life. Adding to that nice little package, you get to experience what sort of people you might meet, so it gets you more prepared for life.

Ok, enough about that just the cultural stuff. Living as a teen in an international community can be quite fun, actually. Well, I wouldn’t know any better, but just because there isn’t an abundance of people from the same country as you doesn’t mean it’s a living nightmare. People from halfway around the world almost act the same as your best friend does. Really. We all talk in some form of slang, we pretty much all speak the same language and we’re all just teens. There’s really no big difference.

Anyway, I just want to get down to the main point and tell you all about some of the issues that really disturb me and I want solved. Animal cruelty. I just hate it. You’d have to be one of the most cold-hearted people  to purposely mistreat or misuse animals. They don’t understand our ways, and they don’t know why we kick them or starve them or abandon them. How can they? I even comprehend how people could do that. It’s like doing the same thing to a small child. They don’t get it. Sure, the situation has improved with animal police everywhere, but don’t you almost alyways see an abandoned starving dog or cat roaming the streets when you go out? It has to stop. It’s not their fault. Who ever thought of having pets? We did. And now their dying right infront of our eyes. We are doing nothing.

Hey nick, my name is alex. It is so cool to meet someone who likes to read as much as I do, it is also my passion, and when I read, I don’t take any notice of the outside world either . I totally agree that being inside a book is way better than being in this planet. Judging by the way you say that most books have happy ending, guess you’ve read A Series of Unfortunate Events no?
I can’t believe that you’ve never been outside of your city, because that seems so opposite from my life, which I spend traveling.

    Hey Alex,
It’s not that I havn’t travelled, it’s just I havn’t lived anywhere else except here in Malaysia. I travel all the time, I’ve been to almost every continent. Anyway, I’m glad your the first person to respond to my post and the only other person who seems to love reading and writing as much as I do (except for my English teacher of course). But what kind of books do you like to read? Fantasy, sci-fi, fiction, non-fiction? And who are your favorite authors? Sorry, I can get carried away with questions. Anyway, glad you took interest in my post.

Hey! Mostly Iread losts of fiction series you know, Harry Potter, Narnia. but sometimes I like to read other kinds of stuff, depends wether the book is good or not. what do you like to read? Also, where have you gone on vacation.

I also like the Narnia series as well as Harry Potter. I also really like His Dark Materials trilogy. Heard of it? Anyway, I really like authors like Garth Nix and Phillip Pullman. Let’s see, I’ve been to Argentina, Australia, France and Italy, Cambodia, China, and even the African airport. One of the few places that I really want to go to but haven’t are the States. Mostly, I just want to go their to ride in the theme parks and a get a sun tan in Miami. Like that’s gonna happen soon. Where have you gone to?

Nowhere compared to that, my dad plays baseball, so I live half the year here, and half the year werever else he’s playing, mostly, it’s only in the US outside of that, we’ve only gone to Japan. I haven’t heard of His Dark Materials trilogy, but I’ll see if I can find one the books in the library.

So your dad plays baseball huh? Cool. But doesn’t life get a bit hard moving so much. Losing friends and all that stuff? As for the books, the author is Phillip Pullman and the trilogy is really good. The begginging of the first may be a bit strange but it goes uphill after that. It’s just so orginal. Anyway, if you like fantasy, you’ll like these books for sure. What team does your dad play for? Oh, by the way, the first book is called Northern Lights, or on your side of the world, the Golden Compass. A movie based on it is coming out in 2008.

Hey Nick! No, moving isn’t very hard for me, I actually love it, it’s refreshing, sometimes I get bored of being in the same place and doing the same things all the time, so moving and changing lifestyles for half the year is cool. this year my dad is gonna play for the St. Louis Cardinals. So, their gonna make a book out of the movie? That is so cool! I love when they do that, the Harry Potter movies were so good. I also like that they turned Eragon into a movie, have you read that book? If you haven’t I recommend it, it’s good.
Today my teacher’s wife had a baby. Seriously, he didn’t come to school.
Hey! You should check out my blog sometime, it only has one post because I forgot the username of my old one, but who really cares? It’s alexac12.blogspot.com. Hey, by the way wat music do you like, that’s completely out of the subject, but I’ll ask it anyway.
